Critical Campaigns Update

Over the last weeks I’ve talked about different issues that are critical to our future as a state (such as taxes, regulations, and education).  But it is very difficult for the Legislature to make progress on any particular problem without a governor who has a similar agenda.

Fortunately for us, we have a great candidate in Attorney General Rob McKenna (R), and many Democrats are even noticing.  Here are a few:

Brian Sonntag, Washington State Auditor
Tim Sheldon, State Senator (35th District)
Mark L. Doumit, Former State Senator (19th District)

The Seattle Times Editorial Board also recently reiterated its endorsement of Rob McKenna, citing his experience and clear-cut, reasoned plan for Washington State.

And it’s not just Democrats and the Seattle Times…some weeks ago, I had the privilege of attending a fundraiser for McKenna at which Governor Chris Christie (New Jersey) was the keynote speaker. Just prior to the fundraiser, Christie addressed and thanked McKenna’s campaign volunteers—some of who have spent hundreds of hours.

Volunteers on the ground are vital to a campaign’s success, especially in the critical days just before an election. Every dollar and vote counts.  And Rob could use your vote, as well as your financial support this election!
